Teamsters Local 396 Announces Leadership Transition as Vice President Javier Bonales Retires



Teamsters Local 396 announces the retirement of Vice President Javier Bonales after decades of dedicated service to our union and its members. Throughout his tenure, Brother Bonales has been a fierce advocate for working families, playing a vital role in strengthening our union and securing strong contracts that have improved the lives of countless Teamsters. His leadership, commitment, and unwavering solidarity will leave a lasting impact on Local 396. We wish him all the best in his well-earned retirement.


As we look to the future, Teamsters Local 396 is proud to welcome David Castro as our new Vice President. Brother Castro has been a trusted leader within our union, fighting tirelessly to protect the rights of our members and ensuring that our union remains strong and united. His experience and dedication will continue to move Local 396 forward.


Additionally, we are pleased to announce that Juan Casales will now serve as our Recording Secretary. Brother Casales brings a wealth of knowledge and commitment to this role, and we are confident that he will help maintain the high standards of representation and advocacy that our members expect.

Teamsters Local 396 remains steadfast in our mission to fight for better wages, benefits, and working conditions for all our members. We thank Brother Bonales for his years of service and look forward to continuing the fight with the leadership of Brother Castro and Brother Casales.
